Hardy Tropicals

Triple Oaks Nursery is your source for hardy tropical looking plants in the Delaware Valley. We grow a variety of interesting tropical looking plants for our climate including hardy Bananas, Palms, Callas and many other herbaceous and evergreen plants with a tropical look. Of course these are not tropical plants nor is the Mid-Atlantic a tropical frost free climate. Our goal is not out of place plantings that do not fit, but to use hardy plants with a tropical look as a serious part of the landscape.

Herbs

Herbs are any plants that are culinary, medicinal, fragrant and decorative. Historically they can be trees like the magical Linden, shrubs like the native Lindera benzoin - Spicebush, or perennials like the familiar Lavender, Mint, and Oregano or Annuals like Basil or Dill. We use and love them all.

At Triple Oaks no herbs is too obscure or too common. We grow lots of herbs here, bring in others from local south Jersey growers and have most growing in our herb display gardens.

Each year for more than 35 years we have had an herb festival around the last weekend in May. There are lectures, tours, herbal snacks and lots of fun at this free event. So for herbs, be sure to visit the herb spot of the Delaware Valley, Triple Oaks Nursery & Herb Garden.
